Partial Funding for Elevation

Residents that have the ICC as part of their flood insurance may qualify
for up to $30,000 to elevate their property.

In order to collect from the ICC policy a structure must have sustained
damages from Hurricane Irene flooding in excess of 50% of the value of
their home not including the land.

If you believe that you have had significant damage to your home and are
interested in elevation funding please bring a copy of your insurance
adjusters estimate and an estimate from a contractor showing the cost to
restore your home to pre-flood condition to the Building Department for
 review.
If you qualify a substantial damage declaration letter will be issued.
Just a reminder that once the substantial destruction letter has been
issued you must elevate your home. Elevation costs will most likely exceed
the amount provided to you by your insurance carrier.

If you have any questions regarding this ICC program and the requirements
for home elevation please contact the Building Department at 201-556-0520.

Can you forward this to all Committee members and the Mayor and if
approved post it on the website?

 Thanks,
 Rich Bolan
