Listen to Your Children

Listen! Hear What Your Children are Saying

Listen to your kids really listen. Hear what they are telling you. Get to know the parents of your child’s friends. Knowing what they do for a living is no criterion for allowing your child to build a friendship. Know the parents’ schedules and the absence or presence of supervision in their home. the highest percentage of teen sex takes place between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., either at the home of a friend, or in your own home. Being home for them is crucial to prevention.

Money, education, and material goods are not preventions against drug and alcohol abuse. Statistics show those assets increase the chances of such abuse happening. Hold your kids accountable for their actions. Teach them responsibility.
